Sleeping Difficulties

Disturbed and unsettled sleep can be a very debilitating problem, and can have a dramatic effect on overall quality of life.

Insomnia

Generally insomnia occurs because of worries, stress, anxiety, emotional conflicts, etc, and it is because of these concerns that when it is time to sleep the brain remains consciously active and engaged with the issues. Then we start to worry that we cannot sleep, thus keeping the conscious mind active and perpetuating the cycle: insomnia becomes a vicious circle.

In most cases insomnia can be seen either as a bad habit and so it can be 'unlearned' and replaced with better and healthier sleeping habits, or it can be seen as a side effect of general life-stress.

Whilst insomnia is treatable with medication it is helpful to learn to fall asleep naturally and avoid using chemicals, as most forms of sleeping pills have side effects.

Using a combination of NLP and hypnotherapy we help you to learn new patterns that will both consciously and unconsciously re-educate your mind to 'switch off' and allow for good deep relaxing sleep.

Insomnia due to physical pain can be very effectively treated with hypnotherapy, however it is advisable to seek your doctor’s agreement first.

Other sleep problems dealt with are:

Hypersomnia (too much sleep)
Sleep Annea
Nightmares & Night Terrors
Bed wetting
